The Yin and Yang of Massage and Cupping Therapy. Cupping Therapy and Massage are the opposites: While Cupping Therapy is described as an application of negative pressure (suction) to the tissues. Massage is described as an application of positive pressure (compression) to the tissues.... So, if they are negative Yin and positive Yang, they also complement each other. I can say that Cupping is Yin and Massage is Yang. They both share some benefits, but Cupping has couple differences to add to it. This differences make Cupping Therapy/ Massage Cupping Special. 1. When the negative pressure occur the tissues are lifted and what happens is a nourishment to the underlayers, you are letting oxygen and hydration to flow through. 2.
