The deadline for California families to apply for Pandemic-EBT (P-EBT) has been extended until next Wednesday, July 15, 2020. Please help this information reach as many families as possible! An additional $365/child for food assistance can make a big difference to students' health during the long summer months. The CA Department of Social Services recently confirmed they continue to process applications submitted since 5/22/2020. For families with questions or concerns: the State created a new online portal where applicants can submit questions or additional information for follow up: inquiry.pebt.dss.ca.gov

Follow SDUSD's Student Wellness Education and Resources Committee on Instagram @swear.sdusd and and click the link in their bio to nominate a student from any San Diego Unified School District high school. Each high school is given two representatives who will be leading the changes in wellness at their high school by participating in the committee.

DRIVE-THROUGH EMERGENCY FOOD DISTRIBUTION Saturday, May 30, 2020 | 9:00 AM At SDCCU Stadium (Formally Qualcomm stadium), in the Northeast Lot Address: 9499 Friars Rd, San Diego, CA 92108... They recommend participants arrive on site no later than 7 AM. The distribution ends when the food runs out. Families facing critical need are advised to arrive even earlier to improve their likelihood of being served. Participants must be in cars. Every car receives the exact same amount of food. There is no documentation, registration, ID, paperwork, or eligibility requirements associated with this distribution. Anyone in need as welcome to access the resource anonymously. Hosted by Feeding San Diego and the San Diego Labor Council.

Children who received free or reduced-price meals at school can get extra food benefits called Pandemic EBT or P-EBT, due to COVID-19.
