Hi everyone! My name is Ahliyah Chambers and I am the Coordinator of the Black Resource Center. This Spring, I graduated with a Masters degree in Postsecondary Educational Leadership with an emphasis in Student Affairs. I am so grateful for my experiences at SDSU as an undergraduate student, graduate student, and now a staff member at the university. My family, friends, students, and colleagues are truly the reason why I do the work that I do. My heart is filled by being able... to serve our Black community each and every day. I am blessed to be continuing my studies in the Joint Doctoral (Ph.D.) Program in Education at SDSU and Claremont Graduate University this fall semester. Let us all continue to lift as we climb. Thank you all for being my village throughout this journey. Much love! #Persist . . . The last but MOST CERTAINLY not least of our BRC IG Black Graduate Highlight series! Thank you Ahliyah for being and continuing to be a mentor and role model to us ALL! We would say the BRC would miss you but you’re here to stay ! Congratulations to the entire graduating Class of 2020, through all the craziness yall made it and should be very proud! See more

Hello my name is Darielle Blevins and I will be graduating with PhD in Education this Spring. I recently won the SDSU President's Award for my research 'Visualizing Girlhood' and placed 2nd in the California State University research competition. I am honored to have been named Outstanding Student of the Year for the Joint Doctoral Program in Education with SDSU and Claremont Graduate University. I am grateful for the relationships I've built with women of color academics and equity centered scholars. . . . Thank you Darielle for setting the standard! The BRC will miss you!

Hi my name is Charlette and I will be graduating with a bachelors degree in finance this August. I was the Vice President of the College of Business Council and Treasurer for the SDSU College Democrats before studying abroad in Taiwan. I am so appreciative for the community I gained at SDSU these past four years. As I pursue my CPA license and become an accountant, I will remember the lessons State taught me. I will forever feel grateful to have made connections and friendships that will last a lifetime. I’ll miss you SDSU! . . . Thank you Charlette for all of your involvement in the community! The BRC will miss you!
