4 Steps To A Healthier Kitchen

Starting better habits really easy. The problem is when not starting them is even easier. To help ensure you stick with it you have to make the better choice the easier one. ... There is a reason fast food will always be popular. It is just super easy and cooling at home is harder. I have a goal to drink more water throughout the day. Super easy to do but even easier not to do. To help at night I pour a small glass of water and leave it by the coffee machine. In the morning when I hit brew I then drink it. Super easy to do. I can’t miss it. It is just one small step in the right direction to help me hit my daily goal. How can you make your goal simple and the easier choice? #healthyhabits #smallhabits #carlsbad #carlsbadpersoanltrainer #sdpt #iampremier

Who doesn’t love a good before/after picture? Smoothies are amazing. You can put so much stuff in and as long as you have a few essential ingredients it will taste awesome. Even throw in foods you may not normally like but want to try and get in your diet like certain vegetables. You won’t even know they are there and kids don’t notice either. ... My go to recipe recently has been full fat milk, mixed frozen berries, banana, PB powder, custom SDPT whey protein blend and immunity boost blend from @truenutrition . What are your go-to’s?

No time to workout?? Of course you do. But if you feel like there is it enough time to get a workout in with everything else on your plate, you have a priority problem. Not a lack of time. If you watch TV for an hour a night but don’t exercise, then you simply value watching TV over exercise and your health. ... I’m not here to say that is wrong but you at least have to realize what is truly holding you back if you want to make a change. If watching TV is more important that exercise, then that is your decision. But if you see a problem with that it’s something you can change. You have no control over the time in the day. We all have 24 hours. But you do control how to use those hours. The simplest way to add in exercise is schedule it. Mark it down in your calendar. If it was an important work meeting would you let anything else interfere? Then treat this the same way. Mark it down in your calendar and move everything else around it. It could be 10 minutes,30 minutes, an hour... It all helps you as long as you consistently do it. #carlsbad #carlsbadpersonaltrainer #carlsbadpersonaltraining #northcountysandiego #northcountysandiegofitness #northcountysandiegopersonaltraining #iampremier #timemanagement #workouttips

In the next few days, Isabelle Summers will demonstrate some key functional movements for you all to try out. Don't worry, there are modifications for each of these movements. The first one being demonstrated is a hinging pattern. Isabelle is showing us Kettle Bell Deadlift. A few pointers Isabelle recommends are: 1- Soft bend in the knees 2- Neutral spine and pull the shoulders back 3- Hinge by pushing your butt back and bracing your torso so that your shoulders are inline ...with the toes 4- Engage your glutes and hamstrings to pull your torso straight up back to your starting position Below you will find some demonstrational pics to help you out. Have fun with this one and drop any comments below if you have any questions! #SDPT #iampremier #isabellesummers #functionaltraining #deadlift #hinge #7movementpatterns #northcountyfitness #covidfitness #beatcovidwithfitness

My best nutrition advice

This is my FAVORITE piece of equipment at the gym. Most will expect to see a kettlebell, barbell, or other piece that we use in our programs, but without doing ...a movement screen first, we don't know the best way to use any of those other tools. You can find thousands of workouts online and in fitness magazines. Some of them might be great for you and others may actually take you further from your goals. How cool would it be if you could look at a workout and know what exercises would be a good fit for you and which ones may actually cause issues? This is exactly what the Functional Movement Screen allows us to do for clients. We can determine the best next step to write a program specifically based on how they move. Taking this extra 15 minutes before jumping into a workout can put you on a faster track to getting results and avoid putting you in positions that potentially could lead to injury or compensations. We are taking appointments at San Diego Premier Training to schedule a movement screen with us. if you are not ready to get back into the gym yet we can do this virtually as well. If you would like to learn what exercises would be the best choice for you and which should be avoided you can message me or comment below.

#Repost @ocrunderground with @get_repost If you are still stuck at home for your workouts it can definitely get stale if you aren’t changing your program up. But with limited equipment that can often be a challenge. Even with body weight training, though, there are a number of different ways to challenge yourself. ... Gravity and body weight alone are plenty to get a good workout and see progress. Here is from my workout today using no loading I still managed to push myself. Here are a few of my favorite ways to challenge your training without adding any weight. 1. Add isometric holds at the toughest part of a movement. For this hip thrust I added just a short pause at the top. I could have held even longer but 1-2 sec hold was plenty for me. 2. Change the tempo. I didn’t do this one today but try speeding up or slowing down the movement. This will effect your reps performed so plan accordingly. 3. Change positions to progress the exercise. Push ups can get boring after awhile but luckily there are hundreds of variations. Changing your hand or foot position can make a huge difference in the exercises. Try a few of these varieties in your workout to give yourself a challenge. #ocrtraining #ocr #spartanrace #spartanracetraining #spartansgx #toughmudder #dekafit #smarterocrtraining

Intermittent fasting isn’t for everyone and isn’t the only type of nutrition strategy out there, but for some it does work well. This has been part of my of my routine for the last few years and has worked well for my schedule and lifestyle.
