Greetings friends! This is Rachel Satoh, the recruiter for Peace Corps in San Diego. I am looking for some awesome RPCV help for future upcoming online events! I am looking for a University of San Diego alumni (from undergrad) who is also an RPCV. Ideally someone who has COS-ed recently within 5~8 years would be great, but not a major requirement either. Event details: Peace Corps Info session (virtual) on November 10 (Tuesday) from 12-1pm. I will have a series of Q &... A questions for you for the remaining 30 minutes to speak upon your experiences in Peace Corps, and the chance to speak to Torrero students! Secondly, looking for any military veterans who are also RPCVs! I will be hosting a Veterans who served in the Peace Corps event on Saturday, December 19th and will have 2-3 panelists to showcase their stories. I am looking for someone from San Diego! Please Take Action! Celebrate and honor Peace Corps. October 14th is when JFK spoke about the idea of a Peace Corps 60 years ago. Please reach out to members of Congress, express your support of Peace Corps, and ask them to make remarks on the Senate or House floor sometime between now and the actual 60th anniversary to support Peace Corps and honor its volunteers. We will have actions and events up through September 22nd, the date when Peace Corps was signed into law 60 year...s ago. RPCVs Get Out & Vote! Let’s encourage all RPCVs to get excited to GET OUT AND VOTE! In CA, early voting starts Oct. 5th and mail-in ballots will be sent to all registered voters. This morning board member, Alia, led our members through a snorkel event that brought over 20 people to La Jolla Cove for some sea lions, a sea turtle, and lots of fish!!

This past Wednesday, SDPCA had its second virtual yoga class. Looks like they all had a great time!
