Honor our Flag. Flags of our fathers, flown proudly over our great institutions, and homes. Retired with honor and in accordance with Federal directives. JOIN Post 6 for our annual Flag Retirement Ceremony. HELD at Greenwood Memorial Park. Friday, July 9th at 10 am.

Post 6 had a difficult time finding a replacement for our very own Second Vice Cmdr Ann Marie Pina-Brown. I’d like to welcome aboard retired 1st Class Master at Arms Adrian Camacho. A motivated Sailor. Unprompted, completed his American Legion Basic Training course within his 1st couple of months. No small feat. Good job Second Vice! Stay Motivated. You got some big shoes to fill.

It’s good to be around friends again.. old, and new. Sometimes dysfunctional.. Hey those are my glasses. No they’re not. Oh, I guess they are..! Haha! but we end up working it out.. For the sake of Post 6. For the sake of the Legion. Honor Guard QuarterMaster Stephen Ko, Adjutant Phillip Warlop.

100th Annual Memorial Day Service Post 6

Here are the particulars about the Memorial Day service Monday.

It’s with great sadness that I share the passing of our long time member and friend, John Hom. John was a World War 2 vet who has been missing in action since the beginning of the Battle of Covid-19. Post Everlasting welcomed him on May 3rd of this year. He was a funny man, an optimist and one of our Ham Radio Operators. Services will be held at Cypress View Mortuary on May 20th at 11 am. May you Rest In Peace brother John.

Don Ko, R.I.P. - 1931-2020 With heavy hearts, we wish to announce the passing of our longtime friend and fellow legionnaire, Don Ko. He was a very active member of Post 6, including two tenures as Post Commander. He will be sorely missed.

Post 6’s Back Packs for Youth program is here again. Mr. Frank Manthei lending his leadership for this 15 year program. Commander Phillip Warlop, 1st Vice Commander Ruben Castaneda, Adjutant Dennis Welch, Chaplain Maggie Mudd, Sgt-at-Arms Roger Siebert, assembling 150 back packs full of school supplies, for students who’s fathers are serving on active duty over seas.
