At SDIA, your safety is our number 1 priority. To keep all of our staff and customers safe, we have implemented meticulous processes to make sure that no surface stays dirty and no customer or staff member gets exposed to this virus. While our family fun center is closed, our ice hockey and figure skating sport departments are open for training purposes. In order to enhance our policies that are already enforced, we are requiring all customers/coaches/staff/skaters to wear ...a mask or a face shield when doing the following: +Entering the SDIA parking lot. +Entering the rink from the outside. +Entering any docking area. +Walking through the lobby. +Entering the pro shop. And please remember to always maintain a 6ft distance from others while sitting in the bleachers. Oh... and we have ONE MORE RULE... HAVE FUN!!

It has been a long time since I have posted a political issue on social media, but this proposition is especially egregious. It will have a really devastating effect on small businesses, especially ours, the Family Fun Center- San Diego Ice Arena, which should this pass will have to rethink the business model it operates under, and may even not be worth keeping. A 400% increase in property tax would be too much to absorb, and thus would effect thousands of young sports kids in San Diego. Passing on these costs to the kids will be a heavy burden and really unfair. This on top of trying our best to recover from the COVID closedown, is a disaster for a small business such as SDIA. Please help us and vote NO to this badly written proposition.

SDIA is running an August special for its weekday morning/afternoon ice rentals Dates: August 10 through August 28 Days: Monday through Friday... Times: 11:30 am - 12:30 pm & 12:45 pm - 1:45 pm Price: $375 per hour Long term rentals also available Please contact Mary Anderson for availability: [email protected] or (858)530-1826 ext. 302 Ice Rental Policies: *Rentals are 1 hour each. Rental Fee is $375/hr. *Payments must be done online before rental time (Admin Dept will send an invoice to the email entered above). *Everyone must sign a waiver. If the participant is a minor, a parent or guardian must sign (waivers will be emailed with the invoice). *You may use the facility 15 minutes prior to your reservation start time to get ready. Must exit the facility within 15 minutes of your ice time concluding. *Maximum number of people allowed is 30. Parents or others not skating may watch from the bleachers (no spectating in the lobbies). *Face covering must be worn at all times while on the property - Face covering not required while on the ice but must be worn around skaters necks. *Must wear own skates and own protective equipment. *Subject to temperature checks. *Must maintain a 6 ft distance from non-familial units at all times. *No Tailgating before or after the event. *No locker rooms (locker rooms are closed and not available).
