In the news: 13 major philanthropic foundations have pooled resources to launch Together Toward Health, a $20 million initiative to stop the spread of #coronavirus and strengthen health and resilience in California’s most impacted communities. Supporting foundations include SDG member orgs: Blue Shield of California Foundation, California Health Care Foundation, Genentech, The James Irvine Foundation, Sierra Health Foundation, The California Endowment, and The California Wellness Foundation.

San Diego Food Funders, a funding collaborative of SDG, was thrilled to provide a $20,000 grant this spring to Coastal Roots Farm in partnership with San Diego American Indian Health Center in support of food justice for Native American communities experiencing food insecurity exacerbated by COVID-19.
