It's that time again, and the San Diego Crew Classic is looking for volunteers for the 2020 regatta!! DATE Saturday and Sunday, April 4th and 5th, 2020 LOCATIO...N Crown Point on Mission Bay in San Diego, California REGISTER www.crewclassic.com/volunteers Email: [email protected] or [email protected] From the volunteer coordinator: We’re in need of volunteers who are available before, during and after the regatta. We encourage everyone with an interest in the sport to sign up. You must be at least 14 years old to volunteer, and you’ll need a valid e-mail address and access to the internet to register. VENUE Crown Point Shores, along Mission Bay. We anticipate cool, cloudy mornings and warm, sunny afternoons. However, there’s always the possibility that it might be rainy with temperatures in the 50s. Dress in layers, and remember a jacket, sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen. Docks may become slippery so wear appropriate footwear. THE PARK RULES - Please be respectful of the following rules for our race site. Like all races, our ability to continue hosting this event at Crown Point Shores is dependent on our following the rules as established by the City of San Diego. - No dogs allowed anywhere on the Crew Classic grounds. - No glass, no smoking, no open fires anywhere or at any time. - Very Important: Absolutely NO alcohol permitted except in designated areas. Consumption of alcohol outside the designated areas is not permitted. If you plan on drinking, please drink responsibly, designate a driver and make sure that all drinking is done in the designated areas. We’re working diligently to place all volunteers as soon as possible, so that we can send out more details about the jobs each of you may be preforming this year. Yesterday was a rough day for the sport of rowing in the City of Austin. The Univ. Of Texas Crew trailer was heading north to a regatta when it caught fire. Abo...ard the trailer were Boats and oars from Texas Crew, as well as Texas Rowing Center and ARC. All of the equipment was lost.
