Congratulations to these committed donors who have reached their gallon milestones. Every donation gives life to patients in local hospitals. Thank you for being great examples to all of us.

It is flu shot time! The good news is you can still donate blood after your flu shot (even on the very same day). With San Diego Blood Bank, commit to your health this flu season and help a neighbor in need. #DonateBlood

Two weeks after her son Trevor was cured of aplastic anemia, Dawn discovered a lump in her right breast that led to a breast cancer diagnosis. Dawn was already grateful to blood donors for helping to save her son’s life... and she is thankful for them once more for saving hers. Today, Dawn is cancer-free thanks to the kindness of volunteer blood donors. An hour of your time provides new hope and a future for families like the Norbys. #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth

Katherine and Stephanie from SparkCycle stopped by to save lives on a lunch break (after making sure to hydrate). We see a lot of folks in the fitness industry committed to blood donation. You get a mini health screening with each donation and an endorphin boost from saving a life. Commit to your own health and become a regular blood donor.

Meet Regina, a Team Survivor member who relied on a blood transfusion for surgery to correct her skull. At the age of four months, she was diagnosed with right coronal craniosynostosis, a skull birth defect. Regina is now starting Kindergarten! Thank you to the San Diego Woman's Club for their generous support of a centrifuge, which allows us to spin whole blood into its various parts, including red blood cells, plasma, and cryoprecipitate, to support local patients. We are grateful to SDWC for their continued community partnership! #SDBBFoundation #philanthropy #savinglives

The one-year anniversary of Gavin passing is today. Gavin’s mom and several moms of Gavin’s friends came in recently to spread kindness to honor his life. When asked what he wanted to be when he grew up, Gavin replied: The world’s greatest superhero. Through organ donation, Gavin’s heart is beating strongly in a 4-year-old girl and his liver and kidneys saved two different women. Gavin’s family and friends are committed to honoring Gavin’s legacy by making more miracles ...for families and our community. Inspiring blood donation is one way Gavin’s legacy lives on. You can donate in Gavin’s honor with the code GH20. #gavinrhero #kindnessforgavin

Henry is one of many regular blood donors committed to saving lives. Will you join him in supporting our community's blood supply needs? "Blood donation is the noblest deed a person can do for another person. It is a gift of life where you do not expect anything in return. It is one way of giving back to the community and at the same time giving my own body a chance to regenerate fresh new blood cells. Mentally, it feels good to know that I am able to help in whatever way I can and donating contributes to my total well being too!" Thank you Henry for helping someone's loved one to have another tomorrow.
