And so I share beautiful news from France, announced in The Times of London, Wednesday, 30 September, under the headline, "France bans mink farms and captive orca breeding." (Page 35.) The article, by Charles Bremner, makes clear the captivity issues being tackled don't end at orcas. Circuses are included! 'Our attitude to wild animals has changed,' she added. "In addition, dolphins and orcas will be barred from captivity in marine parks, though no deadline was set.
