In addition, Geoff Toner, MS, MB (ASCP), Director of Curriculum Development at Jefferson Institute for Bioprocessing (JIB) will share about their advanced training pathways in bioprocessing and give an interactive tour of the JIB lab facilities. He will also highlight how the JIB provides the opportunity for our regional Biomanufacturing BDP students to continue their advanced training in collaboration with the JIB’s 1-year M.S. program as well as an Industry-Sponsored PhD in Bioprocess Engineering. This pathway offers a potential decrease in a student’s education timeline by 2-5 years, plus concurrent employment. See more

San Diego Miramar College will host a morning of FREE, FUN science on Saturday, March 14th, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 12pm for kids from 5 to 99 at its Mira Mesa Campus (10440 Black Mountain Road). Miramar College science/math faculty, staff and students will present a morning filled with hands-on lab activities. This event is open to the public, all ages are welcome; this is a free event with free parking on campus! Faculty, staff, and students will present the following interactive lab activities: How to Get DNA from Anything, Sensory Perception, Critters, Blast Off with chemistry/Slime, Crime Scene Lab, Fun with Games and Puzzles, Cool uses of ENERGY/Robotics and Discovery of Germs!
