The School of Engineering supports Dr. Morgan and her family in the wake of the August 22 incident. This reminds us yet again that our country, our state, our city, our university and our school must continue to strive for a more just, humane, and sustainable world, particularly with regards to racial injustice. We still have a long way to go, but we will continue to work to become a more inclusive, welcoming and safe campus where all are respected and valued. Improving our culture will take the efforts and actions of everyone, not just a few. We all need to be accountable in order to achieve real progress in this domain. It starts with us, the faculty and staff, leading by example, and is a top priority for the School of Engineering.
