Good Morning fellow Toastmasters. As i watch the acceptance speech of our new POTUS, i find that his speech was very organized and 'untrump' like, as the media reports. It actually was a very good speech. My most enthusiast observation is the 3 speech evaluators after the speech and the CBS round table topics afterwards. What a display of polished speakers and impromtu repsonse to his speech. Very impressive and very motivational. A big night for speeches, no matter the... outcome. ABC provided an evalution table that resembled a TMI meeting. This is a very exciting time for speeches, evaluations and table topics. Thank you for following this page!
Tonight was a special night for Scripps Master Speakers! Speech evaluation contest and International Speech contest. Laura Johnson won 2nd place for speech eval. Naomi Bea won first place for International speech. Congratulations ladies. Tonight also marked the accomplishments of Naomi Bea and Lois Corkill completing their Competent Communicators. We are now on track of becoming Distinquished Toastmaster club. We have worked very hard for this. Thank you to our Director Judy Mandel and our Vp of membership December Noble for putting this contest together.
Queen Naomi Bea presenting her speech for our area 32 contest. Our contest is on 11/3/16. Great job Naomi!
Congratulations to our 3 new members! You made this our most successful open house. Kathryn, Phyllis and Kimberly, welcome. We look forward to having you join us on Oct 27th for your first meeting.
