Friday (8/28) was scheduled to be our "Meet the Teacher" day, but COVID had other plans. One of our teachers, Ms. Samantha, shared this: Yesterday was supposed to be our meet the teacher day, but obviously we couldn’t do it normally. So we took cute mask selfies and took a video for the parents to see our rooms. Here’s to the new adventure the 2020 school year will bring!

Last Saturday, we had a drive by graduation ceremony to congratulate our graduating preschoolers! It was unlike any graduation ceremony we've had before, but we tried to make it special. Best Wishes and lots of love to the SEA Graduating Class of 2020!! <3

Big THANK YOU to Scripps Ranch resident Desmond Wong for providing our teachers and staff with face shields! Facial expressions are important for teaching prosocial behavior and for forming/maintaining attachment with children, and so having the option to wear a face shield instead of a mask (which covers half the face) is incredibly helpful! <3 <3

We're happy to announce that we have REOPENED to a limited number of students. We are taking extra precautions, have limited hours and are doing everything we can to ensure the safety of our students, teachers, staff and families. Ms. Taylor and Ms. Lisa (our new on-site RN!) are pictured here doing daily check-ins for our students.

One of our SEA moms created a Facebook group for SEA families and teachers to connect: SEA Families and Teachers Teachers are allowed to babysit if they'd like, this is one way to facilitate that and also to share information

Dear Families, We have decided to close Scripps Exploring Academy, starting Monday March 16th 2020 to support San Diego County's efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 into our communities. The school is planned to re-open on March 30th 2020, however, this date is subject to change depending on the guidance from San Diego County's health officials for school reopening.

STEAM Friday in the Sharks Class! The students made leprechaun stew, colored shamrocks, painted Rainbows, and used challenge cards to build a pot of gold too!
