I found this old post in my FB memories. This goes to show there are lots of good people still around. A few days ago a woman came into my shop with a ring she found wanted to know if it was real. I looked at it and not sure what to tell her I said it is very real I just designed and made this ring for a customer who only picked it up a few weeks ago. The woman looked at me with shook thinking I'm trying to steal her ring. I said I am giving you the ring back I'm sure th...e owners will contact me about the loss since they are a young local couple and worked very hard with them to get them something they can afford and I did something very special in setting the diamond that no one else has that is why I was able to identify it. I gave her the ring and said if you will give me your number I'll have them contact you and I'm sure you will do the right thing. The next day the young man who had bought the ring came in prepared to purchase another $2000 ring because his wife couldn't stop crying over the loss I told him I think I found the ring I gave him the number he walked away in disbelife. They contacted the woman prepared to offer a reward she gave them the ring and it turns out the woman that found the ring was high school friends with the young bride. Everyone was happy. I didn't make a new sale but that's ok. So how is it of all the jewelers she could have gone to she came here and I recognized the ring. Good things still happen all the time. We don't always pay attention. See more
