Fun little piece of Santa Rosa history - the 1918 ordinance mandating masks during the Spanish Flu and giving direction on how to make them. The fine for violating the ordinance was $5-$50.

The 2020 Fire season is upon us! Know your evacuation route before you need it. Pre-Planned Evacuation Zones in the City of Santa Rosa In the event of a large-scale emergency requiring mass evacuations, the City of Santa Rosa has developed designated evacuation zones for the entire community. Look up your address using the search button below to know your zone ahead of time so that you can quickly evacuate if orders for your zone were issued. The 747 Fire Tanker is a welcome sight for us here in Sonoma County. We have limited resources this year because of ALL the fires in California. Every little bit helps. We are going to bed in a cloud of uncertainty as the Wallbridge fire has combined with a second fire and is now a bigger fire and zero percent contained. Our community will sleep light, if at all, as we listen for the sounds of Nixel alerts or evacuation sirens to drive through our streets. Rest my Friends. Here's an update on the three primary fires burning in Sonoma County, and below is a full resource list for you all to follow. -The Walbridge Fire: The Walbridg...e fire has grown to 14,000 acres and is 0% contained. -The Meyers Fire: The Meyers fire has grown to 2,500 acres and is 0% contained -The third fire, the Stewarts fire, is along Skaggs Springs Road. We don't yet know how big it is, and there is concern that this could merge with the Walbridge fire if we don't fight it correctly.
