Regarding Economic Stimulus Payments. If you chose direct deposit for your tax refund, your stimulus check will be direct deposited sometime in mid April. For those that chose to receive their tax refund in the form of a check you will receive checks starting in May going out in batches started with the lowest income taxpayers. The IRS says this could take 20 weeks so be patient. Seniors on Social Security DO NOT have to file a tax return to receive their check. HOWEVER, since this is technically an advance tax credit for 2020, we don't yet know if everyone who receives a check MUST file a 2020 tax return.
