"Marin Post writer Bob Silvestri quoted a former city official, who said, The minute housing is approved in the Marinship, its manufacturing, light-industry, w...orking waterfront is a goner, because no one wants to open their window to the sounds and smells of a true working waterfront. "While most of the Latitude staff would be more than happy to live in a shipyard, someone who just dropped several hundred thousand dollars on a Bayside condo will probably have an issue when they fire up the grinders at 7 a.m. (That’s Victoria Colella’s Valhalla Signworks-Boat Lettering, Etc., sitting next to the Freda B in the Marinship back in February.)". Did you know that every year Schooner Freda B participates in the Farallon Patrol? This essential trip brings supplies and Scientists to and from the islands. Captain Paul and crew look forward to this trip every year. This run we welcomed photographer and friend Peter Lyons on board and here a just a few of the photos he documented. We hope you enjoy this insiders peak of a Farallon Patrol Run. If you are interested in learning more about the Farallon Islands please check out our friends at Point Blue.
