THIS WEEKEND !!! Tiki Bar will be in effect & most likely, i'll DJ on Sunday ! Don't forget about the Live Oak Parking program too ! There are some spots still open on both days ! First volleyball tournament at the Harbor Beach and the second tournament that counts towards the Grand Prix Beach Volleyball Series. Don't forget to preregister online at 2deepsportswear.com there is limited space. ... *Saturday 5/14 is all OPEN events 10 men/women's teams *Sunday 5/15 is a lower division meaning you can have a AA and lower to play 10 men/women's teams All OPEN events earn you points towards winning King/Queen of the beach and a chance at winning some extra cash at the end of the season and a TEPUI TENT (tepuitents.com). Palomar Harbor Open April 1 at 8:47am ... .. Good morning volleyballer The season is right around the corner and I know everyone is ready to play. The Harbor is excited to be working hand in hand with main street beach volleyball to bring about another mini tour of Santa Cruz. This season we will be awarding another King/Queen but things will be run a little different at the harbor. All open events will be held on Saturday with a limited space for 10 women’s teams and 10 men’s teams and a lower division tournament run on Sunday with 10 women’s teams and 10 men’s teams. The open events are the only tournaments were you can earn points towards King/ Queen winnings and a cash prize. All tournaments will have 5 team pools with one game to 28 in pool play, top 3 teams move on, play offs will be match play. We are still working on the website but as soon as it is ready I will post it so make sure to pre register. Looking forward to another volleyball season and seeing everyone at the beach. Don’t forget you earn points in both harbor and main street beach open events and the first open event of the season is this month! OK, For those that don't know. There's going to be a wedding tomorrow Sunday Feb. 28th. The bride & groom have reserved the beach & courts. Court 1 & 4 can be played on. Please play early by noon ! Thank You !!! Also the nets are going to be taking out along with the lines Sunday night.. Court maintenence & sand being brought in. THE HARBOR IS DOING AN EMERGENCY DREDGING ! OUT OF ARE CONTROL ! BRINGING IN BIG EQUIPMENT,ECT... NOT SURE HOW MUCH IT'S GOING TO EFFECT THE VOLLEY...BALL AREA. As, I get the courts dialed in for the coming season. Court 2 will be & stay at Men's height at all times(unless tournaments). At the moment, court 3 will be either. Court 1 & 4, have been girls courts. Being fair & balanced ! No different than Main Beach about ! LOL !!! we are lucky to even have those 4 cousts there ! The Harbor is under some new mananagment again ! Thank You for your paitence & understanding !
