Congratulations to everyone in the district on our best winter break shutdown. SBCUSD was able to save 28% in December on electricity! Before you leave for the weekend please help us continue our success. Thanks for your help with our energy program!

Year 4 of the energy program is officially complete, and we want to thank everyone that assisted in making it the most successful year yet. As a district we saved 31% in electricity, 33% in natural gas, and 9% in water. This reduction in energy usage is equivalent to 6,053 metric tons of CO2 or removing 1,261 cars from the road for one year!

I'm sure everyone is looking forward to the Veteran's day three day weekend, but please remember to turn everything off before you leave on Thursday. And thanks to your continued support of the energy program, we had our best October on record at over 30% energy savings district wide!
