If you're playing Fantasy Rainfall with us (http://bit.ly/FantasyRainfall), we had our first 1/10" storm and 1/2" storm on the same day, December 28. Our winners were Orion S. for the 1/10" storm with a guess of December 29, and Jane S. for the 1/2" storm with a guess of December 27! Our winners received gift cards to the Clean Creeks Certified Business of their choice, and selected The Palace Grill and Los Agaves Restaurant. We appreciate these businesses and all of our Cert...ified Businesses (http://bit.ly/CleanCreeksBiz) who are helping protect our local creek and ocean water quality. <3 Fantasy Rainfall participants still have a chance to win the prize for total rainfall for the year. We are currently up to 2.3" - how much rain do you think we'll get this week? Find rainfall data at https://www.countyofsb.org/pwd/dailyrain.sbc - we use Station 234 at the County building downtown as our official rainfall data location. :D

Looks like we have some rain in the forecast this weekend, are you ready? Take a look around your home and ensure that any potential pollutants are cleaned up or stored properly. When it rains, any pollutants left on the ground can quickly wash into our storm drains, creeks, and ocean. This can include pet waste, construction materials, auto fluids, and lawn care chemicals. If you see pollutants in the street, storm drain, or creek, let us know! Call our Water Quality Enfor...cement Hotline at (805) 897-2688 or report online at www.sbcreeks.com. (Also, if you participated in Fantasy Rainfall, check your guesses for the first storm here: http://bit.ly/FantasyRainfall. Do you think we'll get a 1/10" storm this weekend?)
