The bridge is scheduled to close to all traffic (pedestrian, ...bicycle, and vehicular) on Monday, December 21, 2020 (subject to change). The bridge will be disassembled and completely rebuilt a process that will span approximately three years. Once complete, the new bridge will provide a reliable connection for westside San Bernardino communities for generations to come. Residents in the City of San Bernardino are now operating under a new Stay at Home Order for the Southern California Region issued by the State in response to the rapid growth in COVID-19 cases and a substantial increase in hospitalizations and intensive care unit (ICU) admissions. During this time, essential services including those provided by the City of San Bernardino will continue to be available to the public.
