SBCC Sigma Chi Eta

Good morning everyone! Starting today (10/16), Sigma Chi Eta Communication Honor Society students will be tabling on campus in front of the library for DACA Awareness Week! We will have information about DACA along with ways to get involved including postcards for mailing to representatives and a collaborative art piece they are creating as a demonstration of support for DACA students here on our campus. This event is in collaboration with the larger community college movemen...t across our state to raise awareness about DACA students this week. Please stop by for a visit this week on Monday (10/16) and Wednesday (10/18) from 11am-2pm and next week on Thursday (10/26) from 11am-2pm to learn more and get involved! Thanks for your support of our student leaders and SBCC's Dreamers!

Hi all! We had a wonderful first meeting last Friday; big thanks to all those who came by! We're definitely still looking for more Communication students who are interested in joining Sigma Chi Eta and our next meeting will be September 22, at 10 am in the Communication Lab here at SBCC! Hello everyone! Just wanted to let you know that the livestream videos from our event "Let's Talk: A Conversation About Hate" are going to be removed from our page for a while, until we are able to get them captioned! Thanks to everyone who attended and keep an eye out for the official event video, which will be reposted soon!

A big thanks to everyone who came to our event today! Both the Communication lab and the live streaming classroom were full and it wouldn't have been so successful without you guys. We had a very interesting discussion about HATE and are already looking forward to the next "Let's Talk" event.
