Regarding allergies and the Pfizer COVID vaccine: Per the CDC guidelines and AAAAI statement: Patients with environmental, food, insect and latex allergies are able to proceed with vaccination with a 15 min observation period post-vaccination. Patients with a history of a severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) to AN INJECTABLE MEDICATION/VACCINE should use caution and follow a 30 minute observation period once vaccinated. Coronavirus COVID-19 Update: Per the government’s mandate we will be closing our Los Gatos, Mountain View and Redwood City Offices until at least 4/7. The Moorpark office (San Jose) will remain open to administer biologics and allergy shots if you feel it is essential for your asthma. ... Please do call us at 408-286-1707 at least 24 hours in advance to ensure your biologic and/or allergy shots are available. Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we are adjusting our shot hours and locations to better protect and serve our patients. Sick visits will be very limited. This weekend Dr. Anlin Xu and Dr. June Zhang participated in the El Camino Hospital’s Chinese Health Initiative and the River of Life Christian Church Foundation co-sponsored Health Fair, Ask a Doctor booth. There were over 300 participants. Dr. June Zhang from our practice participated for the first time! They answered many questions from the attendees. It was great to serve the local community! This was Dr. Xu’s seventh year participating, from CHI’s inception. Jean Yu, CHI’s director said she should get an award!
