Praise be!! The Handmaid’s Tale is one of my all time favorite shows. I can’t tell you how insanely surreal it is that my company designed and produced these boxes...like seriously, pinch me. You all get to see the finished product but there is so much that goes into creating custom boxes. From the ideation phase to selecting contents, designing and ultimately going into production (oh, and let’s not forget shipping - John, our FedEx guy is my new bff). We encountered numer...ous supply chain issues (which seems to be the norm with covid) but Team Savvy did the damn thing, per usual. I’m really proud of myself. In 6 short months I’ve created a completely new division of my business and I’m working with DREAM clients. Even on the hard days, I will never stop betting on myself. : Simply Adri Photography

This was a fun one! We designed + produced these super cute and bright custom mailers for our friends at @hulu for the premiere of the final season of Shrill. Once you watch the first episode from this season the bbq sauce + wipes make so much more sense We also made sure to include items from Portland where the show is filmed. It’s the presentation for me We hand delivered 13 custom curated and insanely beautifully packaged gifts yesterday and this one was a show stopper . Who doesn’t want beautiful tropical blooms to go with their @versace candle?!? Y’all, God is dope. The way He keeps making a way for me blows my mind. The opened doors. The provision. The favor. The grace. Whew...... 2020 has been wild, like...I can’t even adequately put it into words. I had big plans for this year and unfortunately, many of them didn’t come to pass. But let me tell you, the doors that have opened in the past couple of months are seriously blowing my mind . I woke up this morning to learn that I was selected by @bizbash as one of the top 500 event professionals in the country in the category of Event Planners, Designers & Producers! 1 month ago today we welcomed this sweet boy into the world. After a really challenging induction (47 hours) Joshua was born. He is the perfect addition to our family and we’re incredibly grateful we get to be his parents. He’s such a good baby and he’s seriously the cutest . Postpartum has been tough. A week after Joshua was born I ended up back in the hospital due to postpartum preeclampsia (high blood pressure after delivery). It was so scary and being away from my newbor...n was the hardest thing in the world. I’m home and my blood pressure is finally stabilizing and for the first time I’m feeling more like myself. One of the reasons I love owning my own business is that I have the freedom to step away when unexpected things like postpartum preeclampsia arise. Although I’m still taking time to soak in the newness of my sweet boy, I’m working hard behind the scenes to launch a course that will be super valuable to those of you looking to up level your planning businesses and be prepared for a very busy 2021. It’s July, folks. Q3 is upon us and man oh man what a whirlwind 6 months we’ve had. One thing I can tell your for certain is that NONE of this craziness was on my vision board, lol but here we are, navigating this new normal and still getting things accomplished. How are you feeling? Are you still motivated to get things accomplished? Are you still ready to take your life and your business to the next level? I know I am. This is the time we should be investing in ourselves an...d really putting in the work so that when we get to the other side of this year we’re ready to kick some serious ass. After much thought and lots of gentle nudging I will be launching a group coaching program in early September. I’m excited, nervous, and really ready to get this program into the world so that other event producers + designers have access to the resources + knowledge that it took me years to curate. How are you, friend? I don’t have a witty caption today. I feel pretty drained ...physically (pregnancy) and mentally + emotionally (covid + systemic racism). I remember the day I took this picture. I went to the Mac counter to get my makeup done before meeting @paigeraycreative to snap these. I felt pretty. I felt happy. We laughed, drank coffee, and talked about business + life. It seems like a million years ago. ... I know we don’t like to get too deep on this app but make sure you’re taking care of your mental health and show yourself lots of grace. Pick up the phone and call a friend. Watch a movie that makes you laugh. Read a book. Pull out your journal. Turn off the tv. Put down your phone. Whatever you do, just be easy on yourself.
