Ok, People, today is Day 1 of NaNoPieMo. I woke up at 4am scared I won’t make it through and wondering what was I thinking, a pie every day?! Then I remembered the pie workshops I’ve been to with Kate McDermott author of Art of the Pie and two other cookbooks. She’s a pie queen who makes at least one pie a day. So she’s my inspiration. As I was falling asleep last night I got a text message from Linda Ravden, a fellow writer who sent a photo of her gorgeous tomato and goat cheese pie in puff pastry. So I’ve decided that will be my first pie to make for dinner tonight. Stay tuned for more pie news. For now, I need to go write those 1666 words on my new novel idea.
