- Every now and then, I hear someone talking about how real estate agents’ jobs are so easy. While we do have some rare unicorns where things fall together easily, I tend to think of our role as problem solvers. This listing was referred to me by a wonderful past client. The sellers have been so kind and friendly the whole time, even though it turned out to be extremely stressful. ... In less than 30 days from listing, the property was in escrow for full list price. The property appraised, minor repairs were done and things were rolling along smoothly. We’ve been told by the National Association of Realtors to expect some closing delays as lending has changed due to coronavirus, although I haven’t experienced many delays on my other transactions. Fast forward to a week AFTER the property was supposed to close... the closing disclosure was signed and I was told loan docs were on the way to escrow. Suddenly I got the dreaded surprise call, . My clients’ home was already packed up and they were supposed to be closing on their next home. Not to get into personal information, but coronavirus has caused a few changes with the loan and we needed someone who could lay all of the options out and get the deal done. As listing agents, we don’t get to choose the buyers lender... As soon as I got the call that the 1st lender could not perform, I called Daniel Lehman because he has successfully closed every loan on time for me.
