I am so blessed this little man was in my life. He was the best lil snuggler. I can almost feel him on my chest, head resting under my chin, warm breath on my neck. Almost. I would give anything if I could bring him back, young at heart, spunky and happy. He outlived his younger brother by 1.5 years, and his older brother 3 years. I was broken hearted when they both passed. This is a whole other level. He was my co-pilot for 2/3 of my adult life. My comfort when I lost so... many family members a few years ago, through my divorce and remarriage. Happy times and sad times. We’ve shared 5 different homes. He traveled with me to Oregon and Minnesota. When my ex threatened getting rid of him, I always said, that’s fine, but I go with him. I know this pain won’t last forever at this level...I hope it subsides soon. I know my little Dexter will ALWAYS have a part of my heart. He is survived by his sisters Lewcy and Shelby (king boxer and boxer mix). Where were you when it happened? I was sitting on my bathroom counter , putting on my makeup , listening to the . What I heard sounded like an elaborate promo to a new movie. As the coverage of the event went on and on, it slowly dawned on me... it was really happening. . It was surreal and heart breaking. My heart goes out to all the families and friends of our lost ones. My gratitude for the #heros who so bravely ran in, when all others were running out is... hard to describe.
