Hello Santa Rosa American Families, I hope this email finds you well! As promised, we are doing our best to keep you updated with information regarding the restart of our league, although the information is slow to come and seems to change daily. We have submitted a safety plan to our Santa Rosa city schools superintendent for approval and we have yet to hear anything back. I have attached our tentative safety plan. Keep in mind, all safety guidelines set forth by our c...ounty health official, governor and Little League International will supersede our safety plan and we will do all that we can to abide by those safety guidelines, which we have conveyed to our superintendent. Also, even though certain leagues have already begun, or are about to begin practicing and re-opening, our ballpark is located on school grounds and we have to have clearance from Monroe Elementary School's superintendent to resume. We will continue to work diligently to get approval and will keep you posted. We feel positive that we will be playing baseball soon! Go SRALL!

Dear SRALL families, I hope you are all healthy and safe during this difficult time. As promised, here is a current update regarding the 2020 season. It is very likely that we may not play baseball until May, at the earliest, with the possibility of the season taking place over the summer months. All sorts of ideas and plans are being discussed right now and we will continue to send updates to you as Little League International and our district passes along information and ...recommendations, as well as any future thought out plans to have some sort of season ahead. Keep your fingers crossed! On a happier note, we have continued to make some nice upgrades to our already beautiful ballpark. New sod has been added to some troubled areas on all three fields and we are adding new infield dirt to the fields as well. I ask that anyone wanting to practice with their child to please NOT use the SRALL fields, indefinitely, to allow the grass to take root. We are very sad to announce that due to the unfortunate situation with the COVID-19 virus, Little League International, in an abundance of caution, has suspended all league activities until April 6th. This includes the postponement of our Opening Day ceremonies planned for 3/28 and any practices and games scheduled between now and April 6th. We certainly understand the need to slow this virus and hope this swift action will be successful in doing so. We will continue to mo...nitor and update you on any new information we receive and let you know when we reschedule our ceremonies and when our practices will resume and games begin. We wanted to let you know we’re monitoring the current health situation and are making sure we are keeping up to date with current recommendations for preventing the spread of illness. If anything changes before that we will let you know. We would love to see you all out there for the ceremony, pictures, and the two Majors games which will happen that afternoon. We understand if you don’t feel comfortable attending the ceremony with the large crowds, but it would be great if you could at least attend for your scheduled picture time that afternoon. Baseball is coming!!! Here are a few upcoming events and reminders to add to your calendar. I know we're all busy so it's nice to get the schedule out there. Parent Meeting is at Sports Basement Wednesday, 2/12 at 6:30PM. Please plan to come, lots of information and questions answered. 20% discount will be offered on merchandise too so it’s a great time to replace outgrown or worn out gear. Reminder that Opening Day is Saturday, 3/28 - PLAN FOR THE WHOLE DAY - Pictures begin ...at 11:15AM - lower levels will have times in the afternoon. A full schedule will be released later. AA, A, and T-Ball teams are being formed this weekend. You will hear from your manager/coach sometime next week with details. Practices for these levels will begin on Saturday, March 1st. TRYOUTS THIS SATURDAY FOR AGES 12-8!! Age Check in Time 12 8:00 am 11 9:00 am... 10 10:15 am 9 12:00 pm 8 1:15 pm If you didn't bring your required proofs of age and residency/school enrollment to our in person registration last weekend at Sports Basement please be sure you have the documentation at tryouts. If you haven't paid registration yet, cash and check will be accepted Saturday. No other ages need to try out this season! Important details about the Cardinal Newman field. 50 Ursuline Road Santa Rosa, CA 95403 Santa Rosa American Little League will not be providing food or drinks for players. Only water will be allowed in the dugouts (no other food/drinks). ABSOLUTELY NO SEEDS ALLOWED ON THE PREMISES!!! -No street parking along Old Redwood Highway. -Parent is to stay for the duration that your child is present! A friendly reminder that MANDATORY in person registration is today Saturday January 11th and Sunday January 12th! This will take place from 9am to 3pm at Sports Basement both days located at 1970 Santa Rosa Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA 95407 Also, tryouts for 8 12 year olds will be next Saturday (1/18) at Cardinal Newman High School. Good Afternoon SRALL families, The holidays flew by and I can’t believe we’re already in 2020. As you may already know Registration for the Spring baseball season is open and time is running out to get signed up. You can register at www.srall.org. Registration will close on Sunday January 12. There will be a mandatory in person registration and birth certificate/proof of residency verification held on Saturday January 11 and Sunday January 12 at Sports Basement between 9am an...d 3pm. We will be holding player assessments for the upcoming season for ages 8 - 12. These will be held at the Cardinal Newman Baseball field on Saturday January 18 with makeups on Sunday January 19. Assessment times will be determined later. If you're interested in managing a AAA or Majors team this season you must submit an application by Sunday January 12.
