Kona chipped her nail earlier this week and one day when I came back from being out she jumped up on me in excitement and cracked the nail at the quick (which is at the core of the nail and supplies the blood). Ouch! Our wonderful vet was able to fit her in today, thank you @westsidepetclinic for doing such a wonderful job. She is feeling so much better and is resting. The end of the year is a tough time financially for rescues and 2020 as you can imagine is more difficult than most.
