Hey everyone just a heads up we have a Jeff Shelley the chiropractor from Santa Ines coming on Tuesday if anyone needs their horse adjusted let me know ASAP please thanks!
Today was an amazing day of fun and learning. Organized for my students to go to the bull GURU school. Thank you to Leffew’s for a great day of learning for these amazing girls. How to describe the excitement and pride I have for them is hard. You girls inspire me daily! I absolutely love the grit and strength each of you have. I pray you carry it forth into your lives and dominate all you set your minds to
FUN fact.... NEVER judge a book by its cover! LOOK closely... so seemingly ugly. we put a little elbow grease into it and BAM! here’s the kicker.... I called the company to get info on this saddle and it’s a 1500.00-2000.00$ USED! it was being thrown away! CONGRATULATIONS to one of my kiddos on her new to her BEAUTIFUL saddle
the first orders of cups are done!! they will be delivered tomorrow!
when former students come to visit what do you do? well we trail ride. and then they mud wrestle in the arena! miss them so!
Let them be horses. Turn them out, let them run. Let them buck, let them leap, rather in the field than the arena, right?... Give them a herd, even a herd of two. Let them be with other horses, what’s a life without friends? Give them downtime, not just days off riding, but days to enjoy life. Happy horses are trainable horses. Take the rug off, let them feel the sun. Let them roll in the mud, a little dirt never hurt anyone. Escape the arena and explore, don’t stick to the well worn path. The most beautiful places are usually found by accident. Showing them how much you love them doesn’t have to come from buying expensive things. You can buy every rug, all the boots, the best tack, wash them, groom them, feed them, put them in the best yard, with the best facilities and wrap them up in cotton wool, but one day you’ll realise the best thing you could possibly do... ... is just let them be horses.

A Good Mare There’s something different about the way a good mare connects with her rider. It’s special. Like an unspoken agreement. Once a mare chooses you as her person, it’s like she has an instinct to protect you, to fight for you. It’s almost as if she takes ownership of you. I believe the good mares have a deep sense of intuition. They can read your mind. They know what you’re thinking even before you do. The good mares I know breathe fire in the face of challenge ...and then somehow, miraculously, know to quiet themselves when a timid child is plopped on their back for a pony ride. They are clever, cunning and calculated, which can be your greatest enemy or your saving grace. The good mares I know do not tolerate egotistical riding. They do not tolerate force. They demand tact, finesse and emotional control. But once you have won a mare’s heart, you have won all of her. In exchange for your bestand nothing lessshe will give you everything. Progress is something we strive for every day in life and everything we do. Well this young lady has made such tremendous progress in the year I’ve been working with her. I am so proud of you kiddo! She went from an unknowing beginner to successfully riding my most difficult lessons horses! And is absolutely killing it!

What do you do when in quarantine? Well you get moving on the youngsters that need starting! First time up, taking it slow and doing it right! Thanks Irelyn Davis #backed #firstup #waitingsgood #almost4
Picture of the day! My heart is full! So much growth right here! Proud of these two kids and how much they have grown. The young lady on the left also started small... she’s now flying on this huge warmblood. The one on the right has been riding for less than 10 months and is flying bareback now. Start small and grow. All good things come to those who work their butts off! #behumble #workhard #ifyoufallGetBackOn #ibelieveinyou #trustyourself #soproud
Parents, let your daughters grow up to be horse girls, because they will learn quickly and repeatedly that life isn’t fair, that hard work is often trumped by ...Lady Luck, and that every defeat, no matter how terrible, is temporary. Let them dream big and kick on. Let them learn confidence, grace and grit. Let them build big muscles and strong backs. Let your daughters grow up in the barn. Let them learn that buckets need filling and stalls need cleaning, even when it’s raining, even when it’s frozen, even when they have a different idea for how the day should go. Teach them to drive trucks and trailers and ATVs. Teach them to change tires and wrap legs and give shots. And let them leave a spur mark, or a bit rub, or a bandage bow, and let them deal with the shame of causing pain to an animal they love. Let them grow up with horses and with good horse people, because it will teach them to be humble, and to be resilient, and to be brave.#TheCowboyShop#F-R-MFeed#DACPowered Article credit Lauren Sprieser @laurensprieserdressage Love it...http://www.chronofhorse.com//let-your-daughters-grow-up-to
