SMAT has begun restoring transit service to pre-pandemic levels! All routes have an additional trip at the start of the day in the morning. Routes 2 & 3 frequency is restored to twice hourly. Fare collection resumed July 1, 2021. Route 8 now extends to Crossroads Shopping Center on South Bradley Road! ... Full weekday service is expected to resume on August 8, 2021. Please continue to check the SMAT website for updates and/or changes to the schedule. Schedules can be picked up at the Transit Center, on the buses, and at pass sales outlets. Route 8 is officially extended to include the Crossroads Shopping Center on South Bradley Road! The extension will travel along Betteravia Road to South Bradley Road, then return to the route via Crossroads Lane. The existing bus stop on South Bradley Road, at Southside Parkway, will provide access to the Crossroads Shopping Center. All SMAT buses are equipped with bike racks designed to transport two bicycles at a time. Additional bikes may be securely stowed inside the bus if space is available. All you have to do is: Register with SMAT by contacting our offices to request an application, which must be completed by the applicant’s healthcare professional. Applications are available at the SMAT Office located at 1303 Fairway Drive in Santa Maria and are available on our website www.ridesmat.com. Call 805-928-5624 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to schedule a ride. Reservations can be made up to 14 days in advance and can be made for next-day service.
