Santa Inés Mission Mills

Check out the photos from our October 14th walk around a grove of olive trees located in the 95-acre Mission Santa Inés National Historic Landmark District. The... olive grove lies between the mission and a milling complex built in 1821. The event was supported by Healthy People Healthy Trails, Santa Barbara Trust for Historic Preservation, Santa Barbara County Trails Council, and County of Santa Barbara 3rd District Supervisor Joan Hartmann. Springtime at the Mills bring beautiful Poppy’s!!

A beautiful windy day at the Mills!!!

Our great crew of volunteers harvested these olives yesterday in 3 hours. We then enjoyed a bbq with sodas, beer and wine. Great harvest celebration. Today the professional crew is harvesting what looks like a record crop.

Rowdy the 2 year old Heeler rounding up a herd of sheep in the Mission Grove.

We have 64 sheep and 6 goats mowing weeds in the Mission Grove. We plan to expand the grazing.

Our 2018 Olio Nuovo Harvested this month is now available.
