A career in city government is not something many young people consider, but every city needs highly skilled workers in such disciplines as engineering, finance..., public administration, planning, parks and rec, fire fighting, and more. These jobs are usually well-compensated (pay and benefits) and can lead to a very rewarding career. Next Monday, December 7th (11:30 - 1:00 pm), the San Marcos Promise will be presenting its Connect to Careers program, San Marcos City edition, for students to learn about government careers. Students will get to hear several San Marcos city employees discuss how they found their way to a career in city government. All grades welcome (even kids outside SMUSD). Follow the link below to register. https://sara7906.wixsite.com/connect2careers
