Fresh new look for @summerlandsalonandspa!! What a great way to celebrate our birthday! Today we officially launch our new website. I feel like that missing piece of the puzzle is finally together and I have @studio.seaside to thank for that! Everything we do we do with intention, and I searched high and low for a designer that could make our vision come to life! When I found Hayley through Instagram I instantly connected with her vibe and style. Then when I saw her on a s...urf board I was like, Thats the one! She has such a gift and I am so grateful for all the work she put into this project! Also a HUGE shout out to @laurenmaevephotography who spent so much time taking beautiful photos for our online store! I’m so excited for y’all to check it out and give me your feedback! Still some things we’re tweaking but its ready to go!

4 years ago our team took a BIG leap of faith...its not often a salon closes and the entire team decides to stick together. But good salon families don’t come easy! I am forever grateful to them for supporting our growth and watching Summerland Salon & Spa evolve. To be able to celebrate 4 years today is beyond a blessing! Building this business has been the best thing thats ever happened to me, and doing it with a long time friend makes every day feel more like play than wo...rk! (Ok I lie, sometimes it feels like really hard work. Lol!) I can’t describe how much I absolutely love this place, and I am so happy when clients walk through our doors and feel the same feeling! So much care and love has been put into this space...and it has always been a team effort! Without our salon fam, our friends, and our amazing clients, we wouldn’t have been able to make this happen! It felt soooo good to travel again, and its got me so inspired for more! I’ve missed traveling and teaching so much. Its exciting to see life opening up again and we can appreciate the small things in ways we didn’t before. The last year has definitely put things in perspective for me. Being able to focus on the parts of my career that really bring me happiness has been so eye opening! I feel like I’m at a really good place now and ready to continue to expand in new ways. On ...the top of my list is EDUCATION! We’ve all missed in-person classes, I know I have! I’m currently working on education calendar and accepting all inquires for private and open workshops! DM me for more info! Loving this fresh lived-in cut and amazing 2 year old Balayage grow out! It was amazing visiting Kauai and being able to do hair at the same time! To the Mom’s who sit on my chair, This Mother’s Day got me feelin’ all kinds of feels for the women in my life who work so hard for their families. The last year I have watched many of you sit in my chair and take a big sigh of relief because you finally have a couple hours for yourself. Sometimes I almost get emotional seeing how challenging this last year has been for you. You’re balancing it all and holding it all together. My mission during that appointment time is to g...ive you free space to be YOU and do what makes you feel good. Whether that means lending an ear while you share with me the ups and downs of motherhood, or sometimes I just work quietly while you rest your eyes or stare just at the ocean view, welcoming in the calm...Or sometimes that means being a boss woman and catching up on emails! I just love seeing you take the time out for yourself. That is real self care. You really blow me away at how strong you are! I have so much respect for you and I hope you feel my appreciation. Stay strong, moms! This is your day and I hope you’re being pampered every minute of it! I love this photo from one of my fav badass mamas @carlymask! NEW SCHEDULE + BOOKING DETAILS First I want to say thank you and I am so grateful for all the appointment requests and inquiries that have been coming in since we reopened! Its so good to see my book full and seeing familiar and new faces in my chair ! I wish I could accommodate everyone, but I also have to make sure I’m taking care of my body, keeping up with my work as a salon owner, and moving forward with my goals as a growing educator. Thats a lot but I’m finding ways ...to make it work! My New Schedule @summerlandsalonandspa -Wed, Thurs, & Fri- I take my first client at 9am and my last at 5:30 (please don’t book after 5:30 if you’re booking online. ) -All online bookings are booked as requests. My amazing assistant @emilywood_hair goes through each request to make sure the timing and services are correct before she confirms it. If you’re a new client she will call you to do a quick consultation and possibly ask for photos. -If you’re not able to get an appointment in the time you’d like it, let me introduce you to my soon-to-be former assistant, @emilywood_hair! And I say soon-to-be former bc she is killin’ it and taking clients on Tuesdays & Saturdays! She has trained with me for the last 2 years and I trust her, and I learn from her everyday too! She’s incredible and ready to take on new clients when I’m not able to. Soon we’ll be hiring a new assistant to train and Emily will be fully on the floor! (That being said, if you’re a training hairstylist looking for an assistant position- holla! ) - When booking online please book all the services you want to have done. Example: If you want color and a cut you have to schedule them both. If it doesn’t give you availability that means I’m already booked. If you have any questions, please give us a call and we are happy to help! Each service has detailed information, so please read before booking. I’ll be on vacation from May 10 and coming back May 26. If you need to get in during that I’m I always recommend Emily and Jonathan, or I will see you when I’m back! All well rested and tanned! SELF CARE SUNDAY Sunday, April 25th SWEET & SLOW YOGA 10:30AM at Oceanview Park in Summerland (2526 Lillie Ave)... This month's guest teacher, Leanna Doyle of the Red Chair Studio will be sharing a sweet & slow practice for all levels. This class is perfect for anyone wanting to connect with their breath, move intentionally, and find the joy in the strength and freedom of personal body alignment. Discover how to stay present as you practice, moving slowly through standing and seated poses, and ending in sweet savasana! Class will be at Oceanview Park in Summerland. There is free parking in the lot or along the street. We will be practicing on the lawn, so bring a mat and/or a blanket. We will get to play with different products that will help protect your skin from environmental aggressors, leaving you feeling relaxed and empowered in the new way you can care for your skin. Told ya I had some new projects up my sleeve! I am SO excited to bring back our wellness events! Y’alllllll, the heavens have opened up and a miracle happened and I figured out how to make a reel!! the struggle was reeeelll. Hahaha ok I’m a dork but seriously, tho...I’m 50 years behind but HOLLA! Your girl’s got reels down! Now if I could only figure out how to make it work on this account. I had to make it from my @summerlandsalonandspa account. Anyone else have this issue with multiple accounts? Oh well, I will take this attempt as a win! Haha! Let me know what you think! Had to give my girl @siana.v a fresh new look after almost a year...but wow, I’m always amazed at how awesome the grow out looks. 2020 really made me appreciate my technique even more knowing my clients’ hair STILL looks good, quarantine or not!
