In the early morning hours of July 3rd, your @sanmiguelfirefighterslocal1434 and zone partners responded to a 5 acres brush fire in the area of Quarry Rd. Units fought throughout the night and will remain on scene for mop-up throughout the morning. Upon investigation of the cause of the fire, it was determined that it was most likely caused by fireworks that landed in the brush. Let this serve as an extremely important example, of why all fireworks are illegal in San Diego County.

Each year, hundreds of uniformed firefighters from departments all over San Diego participate together for a common goal of collecting cash donations in their boots. These proceeds benefit the Burn Institute’s fire and burn prevention education programs. All funds raised through the Boot Drive will stay in San Diego and Imperial Counties. Please take a moment to stop at an intersection if you see our men and women and donate. We appreciate your help for such an amazing cause! #servicebeyondexpectations

It takes time and effort to become a great Firefighter Paramedic. That time and effort is not limited to the individual, rather, it takes the dedication of a robust Training Division along with Operations personnel, their Engineer and Captain, and peer Firefighter Paramedics to assist in their development. Here, Probationary FFPM Schwartzman successfully completes his 6 month exams during a long, warm Saturday for all involved
Beginning next week (Tuesday, 10/06/2020), you can drop off your mail ballot during regular business hours (at District Headquarters our fire stations will not be accepting ballots). Visit www.sdvote.com for additional information.
