Allowing discrimination is never right. "Ohio will now allow medical providers to refuse treatment that violates their religious beliefs after conservatives snuck language into the state budget at the last minute. While supporters say the provision does not permit discrimination against marginalized populations, advocates believe that it will prevent LGBTQ+ people from recieving treatment for their particular health needs."

A new study has found that Black LGBTQ+ adults face higher rates of health disparities, discrimination, economic hardships, and violence than their non-LGBTQ+ Black counterparts.

The justices declined to hear a Virginia school board's appeal, agreeing with a lower court that schools cannot bar transgender students from using bathrooms that match their gender identity.

The U.S. Supreme Court Thursday gutted most of what remains of the landmark Voting Rights Act. The court's decision, while leaving some protections involving redistricting in place, left close to a dead letter the law once hailed as the most effective civil rights legislation in the nation's history.

On Tuesday, Sarah McBride, the national press secretary for the Human Rights Campaign, made history by becoming the first openly transgender state senator in the nation. After her victory, McBride received congratulations across social media from an array of celebrities.

San Mateo County released its Recovery Initiative Implementation Plan on September 18th, consisting of over 100 recommendations identified by local leaders in government, community-based organizations (CBOs), the private sector, and local residents, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

OCD In Children & The Impact Of COVID-19 Free webinar Friday, October 30, 11:15am PT... Many children with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) deal with their symptoms for a while before parents, teachers, or doctors notice it. Kids with OCD may try to hide what they are experiencing out of embarrassment or confusion. Some common OCD behaviors are brushed off as "kids being kids", and some are similar to public health recommendations during COVID-19, like frequent hand washing. This complicates the process of identifying kids who are struggling with their thoughts and behaviors and could benefit from extra support.
