Findings from the GLSEN 2019 National School Climate Survey demonstrate that California schools were not safe for most LGBTQ high school students. In addition, many LGBTQ students in California did not have access to important school resources, such as an LGBTQ-inclusive curriculum, and were not protected by supportive and inclusive school policies. San Mateo County students: Do you want the opportunity to earn $40,000? The College Board's Opportunity Scholarships program helps students stay on track with the college planning process while offering them chances for $500 scholarships for each college planning action they complete. When students complete all six steps, they earn a chance at a $40,000 scholarship. Students whose families earn less than $60,000 per year have double the chances to earn scholarships.
