Local 1243 members were getting some advanced USAR Training today at the Woodbridge Fire District! Rescue Systems I Members were learning skills in Breaching and Breaking while enhancing their skills in moving heavy objects. Todays modual was led and Instructed by one of our own as well.

Your San Joaquin County Firefighters are working hard throughout the state battling the wildland fires. We have two units at the #lakefire part of a San Joaquin County Strike Team and one unit at the #LoyaltonFire part of a Tahoe Basin Strike Team. We also want to note how hard our personnel are working at home, working double/triple shifts to ensure our communities are fully staffed and protected.

We have Waterloo Morada Engine 15-2 assisting at the scene of a structure fire in Lodi and Mokelumne Engine 13-1 covering Lodi Fire Station 2. #mutualaid #local1243

Vegetation fire yesterday with multiple threatened vehicles, trailers and a structure in the Waterloo Morada Fire District. Linden-Peters Engine 5-2 was first engine at scene as the automatic aid closest unit. Waterloo Morada Battalion 15-2 arrived with Engine 5-2. Engine 15-1 and Engine 15-2 arrived shortly after. Collegeville Fire District filled the mutual aid closest water tender request. #closestunit

We welcomed Greg Vitz to Firefighters of San Joaquin County Local 1243 back in February! He joins us as a Captain for Waterloo Morada Fire District. He comes from our neighboring Stockton Firefighters Local 456.
