Hi Everyone! So last week we immunized 289 people. The County is out of vaccines for us so we will try to order again for next week. However, they have just opened up immunizations for those 65+ and for those in the food and agriculture business. So, to prepare, we will take down your information if you will like a vaccine from us, and once we confirm that we are getting them, we will call in everyone for an appointment, prioritizing the eldest first. Also, we will only be giving vaccines for those who have not received their first dose yet, so that we can guarantee our recipients their second dose. So please, be patient, and we will help everyone again real soon, as we are as excited as you are to end this global pandemic.

Hi Everyone! Good news, bad news. We have successfully immunized 223 people for COVID-19 so far, and everyone seems to have had a good experience without too many side effects. We are happy to be part of the solution to beat this pandemic. However, we’ve been informed that we will not receive any vaccines for next week’s appointments. Therefore, we will honor Friday and Saturday appointments, and we will put all other appointments into our waitlist, and if/when we restart imm...unizations, we will call everyone in. During this pause in immunizations, we will continue to grow our list of patients who want to receive their shots in our clinic, and hope to accommodate everyone shortly. We will regularly check with the County when we will be able to get more vaccines, and we will let everyone know as soon as we know. This break will not affect those who are scheduled to receive their second dose with us in February, because as promised, we will keep the second dose for you, so that you do not have to search for another facility to get your second dose. We want to thank everyone for a successful first run, and look forward to restarting our COVID vaccine program soon. Remember, stay safe, as we are all in this together. Thanks! See more

Hi Everyone, I just want to give you all an update. For the past month, we have tested 177 people for COVID-19. Out of those, 125 have been children from 3 months old to 20 years old, and 52 have been adults. We have a total positive count of 20%, with 20.8% of our pediatric population positive, and 19.2% of the adults positive. Of the total, 52% had symptoms, and the pediatric population had symptoms 53.6% of the time, the adults 50%. Granted, these statistics have an inher...ent bias, as it only reflects the people who sought to be tested at our office. However, I just wanted to point out that most statistics during the beginning of the pandemic did not include children, as they were not being routinely tested. Now that testing has expanded to include more children, we are learning more about how the virus is spread. We report all of our data to the Fresno County Department of Health, and we are looking forward to continuing to contribute to the knowledge that will help bring this pandemic to an end. If you or your loved one has any suspicion about COVID-19, it is always best to know your status, so that you can protect others around you. We will continue to keep you updated in the future. Hi Everyone! We are in our fourth full day of vaccinations for COVID, and have given over 120 shots so far, and so far, so good. We want to clarify for those who are wanting to make appointments. We will take appointments for those still over 75 years old and working in the healthcare industry, as directed by the County of Fresno. We have not yet been given permission to book appointments for those in Phase 1b, which includes emergency responders, teachers, ag workers, and th...ose 65 years and older. However, we are generating a waitlist of people who are in Phase 1b, and will call in the waitlist depending on available doses after 3:30 pm, and we will prioritize the waitlist based on age. For example, on Friday, we had 10 available doses, so the oldest 10 people on the list were called. Yesterday, we had 2 doses, so we called the oldest 2. We ask that everyone be patient, as we are working hard to accommodate everyone, and as with everything about this pandemic, we are doing things for the first time, but adjusting on the fly to make sure that everyone gets the services they need. Also, we still are doing our full service pediatric services, so those patients who need their routine immunizations, including the flu, are still being seen, and testing for COVID is available for our patients and their family members. We are all in this together. Thank you for your understanding. :) See more

I got high score this morning. Today will be a good day. Get your flu shot!

We are now taking appointments for those 75 years and up and for healthcare workers for the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. We so far have enough doses for 250 people, and those that get their shot at our clinic will have their second shot reserved for them here. If you have had COVID over the past 90 days, or currently have symptoms of COVID-19, you are not eligible. Also those who have had the Pfizer shot or have had the Moderna shot over the past 4 weeks cannot get this shot. We are currently booking appointments so please call with your insurance information and we are glad to help you. Remember, by law, all COVID vaccines and tests are free to the patient. The faster we get immunized, the faster this pandemic goes away. Good luck to us all!

Hi Everyone, just a reminder that we will be open for a half day on Thursday, and closed Friday through Sunday for the New Year's holiday weekend. Also of note, both doctors have gotten their first round of COVID-19 shots, and we are looking forward to immunizing our community soon, as Sang Pediatrics has been approved to be a COVID-19 vaccine distributor. Remember, if you suspect that your child has gotten COVID-19, we have testing capability that gives results in 10-15 minutes. Stay out of the ER, and come to the clinic, and we are happy to get you tested. Here's hoping for a great 2021. Stay safe, and make sure everyone gets immunized.

We have some good news on the COVID-19 front. We just got some test kits in today that will give the result in 10 minutes. It is a nasopharyngeal swab, and it does cause discomfort, but if you are a patient and will like to be tested, we do have the capacity to test, and will allow our patients to avoid the ER or an urgent care. Secondly, Sang Pediatrics has applied to be a vaccine center with the State of California. With our track record with Vaccines for Children (VFC), we hope that our application will be approved. Once we find out, we will let you know. Don't forget, the clinic will be closed for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Saturday hours will restart January 9. Be safe!

Hey, congratulations to us! We got a Flu Excellence award from the State of California today. By working with the California Vaccines for Children program, we were able to administer over 3500 flu shots this past flu season, and we were able to reach over 100% of our goal that we set forth to protect our patients. We want to remind everyone that this flu season, during the current COVID-19 pandemic, maybe the most important flu season to get your flu shot. Please call (559) 268-1737 to book your flu shot this fall, as this year, it's important to prevent infection and exposure for you and your family.

Hi Everyone. I just wanted to inform you of our policy on COVID-19. If you or your loved one have tested positive, we request that you retest prior to coming to the clinic. A negative test will ensure that our clinic and the other patients are safe. We can also order an antibody blood test to see if your child's body has recovered from COVID. If you continue to test positive for COVID, we then request that if you are ill, then seek care at the Emergency Room or Urgent Care. W...e also have telehealth services available if need be. If you need to see us for a well visit or immunizations, we then ask that you continue to do tests until you receive a negative result. We realize that this makes access to the clinic inconvenient, but at this time, it is for the best. Remember, if a baseball player tests positive, even without symptoms, they need two negative tests before playing again, and we are only requesting one. The best course of action? Prevention of infection. Please wear your masks, and dispose of them before you enter your home. Also, wash your hands, and keep exposure to a minimum by keeping your distance or staying home unless you need to go out. We still can beat the epidemic, and we can lower our curve by keeping our risk at a minimum. See more

OK, everyone, as we pull back on reopening our state, keep in mind that we can do things better with more information. Did you know that in country of Taiwan, they have had less than 500 cases and only 7 people die of COVID? It's not a secret what they did as a country. They quarantined those who were ill, worked with the authorities to identify those who were in close contact, and isolated those who could potentially spread the disease. They also wore masks and washed their ...hands all of the time. There is no magic bullet, and these are the same measures that we ourselves can take, as we all share the same biology as our brethren in Taiwan. If we all pull together to make this happen, our kids can safely go back to school, we can go back to work without worry, and our economy will come back stronger. We are all in this together, and if you want to know your status, you can contact the testing sites listed on the Fresno County webpage through the link. Our patients can call if they need a doctor's order to get a test, and we can fill out an order for you. Stay safe everyone! https://www.co.fresno.ca.us//covid-/covid-19-testing-sites

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to share that I got my results in yesterday and I am negative for COVID-19 for the seventh time. Lucky 7! I also wanted to clear up that Eye Medical had Orkin do a routine fumigation of the building, and it was for bugs, not COVID. Remember, if you're asking Orkin to tent your house due to COVID, you're probably wasting your money. Wear your mask over your nose and mouth, and if it is disposable, throw it away after you're done with it. Wash your hands, and stay 6 feet away from others. I know how hard that is sometimes, as others may not know what six feet really is. It is the size of a pool noodle, so if you can imagine a pool noodle between you and the person next to you, you have some idea as to now far apart you should be. We'll see you tomorrow during regular business hours. Stay safe!
