Please keep these facts in mind as you celebrate our great Nation's Independence this weekend. Don't drink and drive, have a designated driver!
A message of gratitude: I wanted to praise you on your animal control officer, Officer Mario. He is amazing! I called to thank him, and it went to voicemail. I didn’t leave a message, but he called me right back. Not only is he efficient, but he was extremely pleasant to talk to. You could hear the love for the service he provides, he was very caring, and thoughtful.... The other reason I am so impressed with him, is on April 5th, he rescued two sisters, Boxer brindles. Then, Norcal Boxer Rescue got the two sisters, they were vetted, then off to their foster homes. I was fortunate enough to be able to foster Raisin. I got her April 15th. We fell in love with her, and adopted her May 4th. She has brought so much joy, and love into our home. She brightens every day. Raisin now lives in Santa Cruz County, so she is able to enjoy the beach, and the forest every day. Her sister, also got a wonderful forever home. If it wasn’t for the dedication, and love for animals that Officer Mario brings to the workplace, these two precious pups would not have had the opportunity of a forever home. Officer Mario has touched many lives with his service. Raisin, brings smiles and joy, to many people throughout her walks during the day. Thank you for protecting the community. It is a tough job, but you are appreciated. And, Officer Mario is a huge asset to your community. Thank you for your dedication and service, - Melody Derenia We couldn’t agree more! Animal Control Officer Mario Irazoqui’s dedication to animals safety and well-being is evident everyday. We are grateful for Mario’s service to our community.

During that time, Perez discarded an unknown item into some bushes. Perez was apprehended prior to entering the residence and detained in a patrol vehicle. Officers checked the bushes and located an ounce of methamphetamine. Detectives authored a sea...rch warrant for the residence, which was later signed by a Judge. Early this morning, Sanger PD Officers heard gunshots from the north-east side of town. Officers flooded the area in an attempt to locate the source of the shots. While checking the area, they heard additional gunshots, and an officer observed a gray Volkswagon Jetta leaving the area at a high rate of speed. Suspecting the vehicle may have been involved, an officer followed it and stopped it near Belmont Ave and Del Rey Ave in the county of Fresno. Upon approaching the car, t...he officers could see spent shell casings on the passenger's floorboard. The driver, Arturo Madrigal of Sanger, was found to have a warrant and was arrested without incident. Officers searched the vehicle and located a loaded 9mm handgun and multiple spent shell casings within the car. The firearm had been reported as missing out of Los Angeles. Later, Sanger PD Detectives authored a search warrant and searched Madrigal's home. Arturo Madrigal is a resident of Sanger and an admitted and documented Chankla Bulldog gang member. He and his girlfriend, Destiney Rivera of Sanger, were arrested and booked into Fresno County Jail on multiple felony weapons charges, including shooting at an inhabited residence on the 400 block of K St. Thanks to Corporal Silva and his team's proactive and diligent work, there is one less gun in the hands of a gang member tonight! Well done!
