Hello SF Pickleballers, As you may know I am a USAPA Ambassador for SF. I am attempting to provide up to date information on where to play. Here is what I have discovered: All indoor courts are currently closed due to virus concerns. Outdoor play has some restrictions on doubles. Go to the sites for more information since these restrictions may change as the city opens up. Be safe and of course wear a mask and social distance always when not playing and play with a ma...sk if you can. Stern Grove - Playing every morning starting around 9:30am Nets are brought by our great volunteers. Louis Sutter - most days but certainly Tue & Thur 9-12 and weekends on 6 permanent courts. Presidio Wall - no play at the moment also no cars allowed on adjacent Pacific Ave. There is an issue with the virus and net storage lockers - no comment from me. GG Park - Still under construction with possible opening in December. The website pickleballsf.com has directions to these sites. COVID-19 Closure Orders - 6/6 Update

Hi Pickleballers, As a USAPA ambassador I get information about Pickleball. I thought this was a very worthy discussion of Pickleball in today’s environment. https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=1lyaSyo_axk... We certainly have plenty of time to be educated I am still down in Tucson with no reason to come back to San Francisco for a while. I do miss my Pickleball buddies. Stay Safe!! Mel

Just received this e-mail from Rec and Parks - Mel Additional Park and Facility Closures In accordance with the most recent health order from the San Francisco Department of Public Health, playgrounds, adult fitness areas, picnics areas, enclosed dog parks, archery ranges and sport courts, including all basketball, tennis and pickleball courts are now closed, effective as of Wednesday, April 1 at midnight. In addition, activities in which equipment is shared, such as frisbee... or soccer, are prohibited with anyone outside your household. During these unprecedented times, our parks, trails and open spaces remain open to allow people to go outside and get some fresh air when needed. Those not in vulnerable groups can continue to spend time outdoors while complying with the social distancing recommendations of staying at least 6 feet apart unless you share a household. It is OK to go outside to go for a walk, run, ride a bike, and hike alone or with someone in your household at your local park. If you drive your car, it's too far. The health and safety of our park users is our top priority. We are advising park visitors to continue to follow DPH guidance around social distancing and adhere to the "Shelter in Place" order to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.
