We need more volunteers to improve safety. Besides walking safety patrols, we help with community events. Three hours of your time each month improves safety for everyone. The next training workshop is Sept. 21. Reserve a seat: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/patrol-volunteer-basic-trainin
The LGBT/SFPD Chief's Forum launches a Pride Safety program with a partnership of the SFPD, Castro Community on Patrol, and The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.
PLEASE NOTE: We suggest that you like the Stop the Violence (STV) page if you have not already done so: https://www.facebook.com/StopTheViolenceSF/ The same people manage both the LGBT Forum and the STV pages, and try to not post duplicate information to both unless extremely urgent. The STV page is our conversation with the public while the LGBT Forum page is more about our volunteers and our work. We will post here as appropriate, but will generally not re-post identical information we are also sharing with the public.
Guests from Supervisor Mandelman's office and the Pride Board joined SFPD and Castro Patrol in identifying "hot spots" in Friday's SFPD/LGBT Forum walk.
SFPD team members walk along with Castro Patrol to learn more about the neighborhood and what we do to improve safety.
Do you have questions for SFPD or just want to meet some of the local beat officers? Join us for coffee on Friday morning.

This week's Bay Area Reporter (BAR) editorial follows up on last week's article about safety. CCOP has distributed more than 100,000 safety whistles and trained... over 500 civilians to be aware of surroundings over the past 12 years. A visible safety presence keeps the Castro safe for everyone who lives, works and plays in the neighborhood. See more
Castro Patrol is working with SFPD concerning the "suspicious death" that occurred early Friday June 29 (late Thursday night) off 18th Street in the municipal p...arking lot behind the Castro Walgreens. If you were near that area after midnight, please refresh your memory about any threats, fights or robberies that you may have witnessed. If you own security cameras at your home or business near that area, please check for footage that may identify activities or people that could be connected to this event. Any detail, no matter how small, may help in identifying suspects. Homicide Tip line: 415-575-4444 (you may remain anonymous) Text-a-tip: Text TIP411 with SFPD at the beginning of message Or e-mail: [email protected] Case Number: 180481588

Sydney Mardi Gras. Wish I was there.
On Friday night the ABC had a special preview screening of Riot with the Producers, Cast, Crew, 78ers and some members of the LGBTQI community! Here's what they thought. #RiotABC #MardiGras40
