Although it is only late Summer, Fall and Winter are around the corner, and now is a great time to start working on building your immunity with acupuncture and herbs for the coming cold and flu season. This article talks about what you can do during flu season but even before that if you are someone that tends to get sick often, you can begin a 2-3 month course of herbal therapy that will boost your immune system and have you in great shape by winter. When everyone else is ...home sick or running around and getting their flu shots you'll likely get through the season without a problem. It's also a great time to stock your medicine cabinet with some of the formulas that contain the herbs in this article should you feel a cold coming on. Chinese medicine is preventative medicine. call for an appointment today! 510.501.0564 www.sfbayacupuncture.com http://www.tcmpage.com/hpcoldflu.html

I landed a new job, I am now the new acupuncturist at Shen Clinic in Berkeley on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. This means I will be cutting back my house call hours for SFBA drastically to Wednesdays and Sundays only. However I will be able to take a couple appointments per day at the Shen Clinic, so will have new office hours and availability on the days I work at Shen Clinic for SF Bay Acupuncture. As this new schedule will be a bit confusing please refer to my website to book appointments. to learn more about the Shen Clinic visit their website: www.berkeleyacupuncture.net

Some slight changes at SF Bay Acupuncture. Starting in May I will no longer be serving the perfect sidekick gym on Fridays, that means I'll be available on Fridays for house calls. This schedule change replaces Thursdays which are now dedicated to my new role at the Berkeley massage and acupuncture community clinic. So Book now for that end of the week treatment. As well please spread the word that I will be offering a Bay Area May special which is 50% off the first treatment for any new patients to SF Bay Acupuncture in the month of May for house calls. You or your friends may see a Facebook ad floating around your page during May. Www.sfbayacupuncture.com 510.501.0564

A reminder that I'll be working out of Berkeley Massage and Acupuncture Community Clinic Today and every Thursday from 9:00 AM -7:00 PM . 1533 Shattuck Ave. (upstairs) 510.845.2341 www.berkeleysauna.com... TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE BENEFITS OF COMMUNITY ACUPUNCTURE There are several advantages to be considered when choosing to use community acupuncture for your health care needs. Take a moment to consider the following six points: 1. Affordability. Community Acupuncture is the model with the lowest costs treatments. At Berkeley Massage and Acupuncture Community Clinic the price per treatment is sliding scale $20-$40. This allows more frequent and numerous treatments both which help boost the effectiveness and outcome of a treatment plan. Patients are free to pay a price they can afford that fits their budget. 2. Value and Flexibility. Although community acupuncture is designed to be quicker with treatments lasting about 30 minutes. Patients are free to request more time in treatment and can take advantage of a full hour session if they like. This can be incredibly relaxing and healing and comes at no added cost to the patient. Community Acupuncture is a very casual and flexible environment. 3. Convenience. With many available slots during the day, patients can easily book near the time desired or walk-in and expect treatment in a timely manner . 4. Effective. Patients of community acupuncture report results as good as private acupuncture. Some find the group setting has healing advantages and many community clinics report better results when the clinic rooms are full. There are different theories as to why clinical results may be improved when surrounded by others being treated. 5. Communal. Given the community model where many people are treated at once, you’re free to make an acupuncture treatment a group activity. Bring your family, friends, co-workers and come together as if you were treating yourself to a spa or getting your nails done. Why not make your acupuncture session have social benefits. 6. Natural. Lastly, Acupuncture and herbal treatments are a safe and natural way to boost your bodies ability to heal itself. This happens without unwanted side effects. And usually desirable improvements happen consequently as a result of being treated. For example when being treated for your knee pain you also find your sleep and digestion have improved as a result of getting regular treatments. Come in today and start to feel the benefits of regular acupuncture treatments!
