This is a story set in Minnesota about the amazing possibliities of books with a social purpose. The illustrator of Little Lindsey's Haircut is the niece of SDWEG member Sandra Wenner Yeaman, and it gives her great pleasure to share the success the subject of the books, Lindsey Moreland, has had.

It's here! The ninth edition of The Guilded Pen is here. Strange Happenings is a collection of poetry, essays, memoirtales, and imaginative short storiesby authors drawing inspiration from life on the California coast, people and places as far afield as South Africa, or locales that exist only in the authors’ imaginations. Whether chronicling life in the ordinary or teetering on the fringes of the bizarre,Strange Happenings challenges the mundane, embraces the surreal, and stretches the imagination beyond earthly realms.

This is one of the most exciting posts I've had to share. The San Diego City Council named October 26, 2020, as San Diego Writers and Editors Guild Day. It corresponds to the date of the launch of our anthology this year, The Guilded Pen: Strange Happenings.
