Free trees from the City of San Diego!!!! The Fiscal Year 2018 budget provides $400,000 for planting trees in the city's right of way (10 feet from back of curb). Residential property owners and businesses can request a street tree be planted in the public right-of-way, at no cost, if they agree to water the tree to ensure its survival. Requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis by calling 619-527-7500. Email: [email protected] and [email protected].
