At Viejas Casino & Resort, we strive to encourage each one of our Team Members to proclaim Pride loudly, confidently, and resiliently. We stand unified to celebrate diversity, combat societal injustice, and embrace the Pride found in all of us.
As you emerge from your home or choose to celebrate safely in it, please ensure that you are gentle with yourself and others as much as you seek justice and joy." -San Diego Pride Executive Director Fernando Z. López. Read more here: www.sdpride.org/p7821
1975: The Pride celebration included a march and rally at Balboa Park. Lesbian activist Barbara Gittings was the Grand Marshall, and other honorees included Morris Knight, George Raya, and Minnesota State Senator Allan Spear. The march was 400 people strong and featured groups from local and regional organizations and many individuals, not part of any organization, carrying homemade signs. #Resilient #tbt
Join us as we celebrate this iconic, traditional Mexican holiday, viewed through the LGBTQ lens. Local LGBTQ artists showcase their art and reflect on what Day of the Dead means to them. Through stories, customs, pictures, and of course, fabulous pieces of art, we will explore what this powerful day of remembrance means in our community.... Featuring traditional ofrendas (altars) Contact us for more info: [email protected] About Art of Pride: Art of Pride was created to intentionally have civic and artistic spaces where LGBTQ artists can freely express themselves and have a venue for community members to enjoy their creativity. The program offers a space in the festival as well as the opportunity to be a featured artist with their pieces displayed at the Pride office in North Park. Learn more here: www.sdpride.org/art
