Happy Fourth of July . Many dogs go missing today. That’s because fireworks are scary and produce a flight response in dogs. Many dogs will crash through gates, dig under fences, jump over railings to escape the overwhelming sound of fireworks. It’s probably too late to fill anxiety meds or get your pet microchipped today, but these tips can help ensure your pet experiences a safe holiday. . 1. If your pet is microchipped check on their microchip information. Make sure ...it’s up to date with your current address. . 2. Check your pets ID tag. Make sure the information is up to date. Does it have your partners information on it too? If not, stop at a pet store and get a current one. It won’t take long. . 3. Before the sun goes down tonight bring all pets inside. Secure the doors and make sure they are comfortable before local fireworks start. . Fabulous service. My cats met their new Doctor/Veterinarian today, and they didn’t have to endure the trauma of being stuffed into a cat carrier and driven to an office. Instead, Dr. Rose and Tanya made a house call to help my cat with an ear infection. I gotta say I’m feeling really lucky to have them treat my cat. The cats got superior care and didnt have to endure the trauma of a cat carrier and an office visit.
