Hello Sisters! We are so excited to announce the kick off of our "Be Still & Know Video Series" featuring our beloved disciples from all over San Diego county! As we adapt to these uncertain times and new normals, many of us so desperately need help calming our hearts and minds and focusing on God and His power. So much has changed or been peeled away and many of us are just left with ourselves- we are somewhat forced out of busyness: we finally have an opportunity to physic...ally, mentally, and spiritually be still. Psalm 46:10 reminds us Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. But how can we get to a place of surrender? A place of peace? When we let go and direct our gaze back to God it is in KNOWING God that we can find peace in the stillness and meaning in the mess. This video series is to help us focus on the practice being still and different qualities of God that the speakers are holding onto in these uncertain times. As a Congregational Women's Ministry, we are looking forward to connecting virtually with each other as we focus on the refreshing and true nature of God. The following recommendations are being enacted effective immediately and lasting through the end of March in the Church in San Diego and it is our hope that you will partner with us to ensure the best possible outcome for all of us, especially the elderly and the more medically fragile among us: - There will be no Regional Sunday church services. We propose online services with details to come shortly. This is also a mandate from the CDPH and the Governor’s Office. - All mid...weeks are suspended for the same reason - All Family Group gatherings are suspended as well. This is not a recommendation of the above government organizations but rather a conservative approach, a general consensus and the recommendation of the healthcare professionals of the SDCOC COVID19 Task Force made out of an abundance of caution citing that the healthcare community is still not sure of the infectious properties of the virus. - Your ministry leaders will be following up this communication with specifics about online worship plans and other details related to communion and small groups. - Giving/Contribution If you don’t give online, please consider it during this time.
